I have always been against wearing fur. I just don't understand some things. I'm American, and it's considered a "sin" and possibly one of the worst things to do (other than insult the prez./try to kill the prez./not succeed in killing the prez./succeeding/etc....hehe) to wear the American flag, right? Right. So, If people (Americans in this case) are not supposed to wear the flag, which, mind you, is made of FABRIC, not fur, but usually a polyester blend or something (sometimes cotton/wool, but that doesn't help my point), then why is it okay for people (Americans) to wear the carcas of another once-living being? It's not natural.....and, when people say that the human race is smarter than any other species, and we are advanced...etc....then why is it our fault that the environment is dying, global-warming will take over, we had two world wars in a matter of a few decades, and we (Americans) are at war now fighting for no one really knows what. Oil? Domination? Spilled milk? What? Damn, there are so many pointless things. If we really are more advanced, then why can other animals adapt? Why do we need to go to therapists and psychiatrists? Why do we all self-mutilate and kill ourselves? Why are we so intent on trying to make money, then we are on trying to save the planet? Also, it's not "NATURAL" for any animal to drink milk after being weaned, and it sure as hell isn't natural to drink milk from a different, "less advanced", "stupid" species. THEY ARE NOT HERE FOR OUR BENEFIT!!!!!!!!!!! I understand that it's part of nature to eat other animals, I really do. But, when you see a bear eating fish, or a wolf carrying a rabbit to her babies, they didn't go to Wal-mart or Schnuks or Krogers, or whereever to get it. They hunted for it, and they only kill what they need, they aren't killing twenty birds to feed two babies. So why are we, the more advanced species, killing double and triple the amount of food we need, when there are starving people that do not have the luxury(SP?) of picking up food at the supermarket? Damn, people really piss me off. Some people argue that if you don't use the fur/hide of an animal (such as cows), then that part is going to waste. Please, explain to me, do you eat rabbit? If not, then using rabbit fur means that the rest of the rabbit is....oh no....going to waste? Am I right? I think I am. Or, what about fox? I sure as hell have never eaten fox, even when I did eat meat. I've also never eaten mink, rabbit, fox, bear, sheep, etc. Oh, and all that shit about milking cows is necesary, they die if they aren't milked....yes that is true, but the conditions under how they are milked is preposterous. And eggs? Why is it okay to eat a baby? A baby that hasn't gotten to even smell fresh air or walk...? Would you want some bear to come up and eat your premature baby? Or for a monkey to come up to you guys and castrate you right there, with a pair of scissors, and not put you under pain meds? If I was a guy, I don't think I'd want that, considering this guy Joe crumpled in the fetal position when I "accidentally" hit him below the belt. BUT please, correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry, I just got distracted by my friend. I can't remember what else I had to say. I'll let you know when I figure it out tho....byes for now. Oh, I like this pc. a lot.
Mr51Money Featured By Owner Mar 16, 2007
its too bad that one or a million images wont make fur coats stop T-T.....i mean the one at fault its the money, and who created the money, but then again its useless to blame on someone. i myself am agaisnt fur coats, and find it disgusting watching ppl wearing it cuz the way they make those furs are probably worse than when they kill cows to put in the market. THEY SKIN THE ANIMALS ALIVE for gods sake, they dont botter to kill them first so that they wont suffer.
momojj Featured By Owner Mar 13, 2007
you are so right , but it's too bad people continue wearing it though they know and see how cruel it is, that is so sick. anyway great job you've done.

i'm agree with the idea of beeing respectful of animals...
but I'm studying in a fur program and I'm proud of it !!!

The fur that is sold in Canada and a lot of other countries have to pass a lot of registration, laws...etc. the Chineese TORTURED FUR could not enter here...

BELIEVE ME... I worked for Harricanna in Montréal (recycled fur ) and we cannot sold stuff in Germany, and some other countries because we can assure that the fur came from a legal hunt ! They want to know where, when, how, etc...even the color of the hunter's slip...

here we are respectful of life...

and did you know that all synthetic fabric kill a lot of cute little animal each year...indirectly but it did !!!with air pollution...petrol...etc.

fur is natural, biodegradable...etc...

you can have your opinion and I'm glad that people defends those animals in China that suffer...but don't blame people in here that wear we are respectful !!!

thank you in advance...

a fur lover...

Tell that to all the trappers my dad has met (here in Canada) who constant brag about torturing animals for FUN (things like squeezing squirrels till their eyes popped out and crushing cats with a car!)

Fur is natural on their original owners. Human skin is natural - would you kill a person to wear their skin?

Fur is NEVER respectful ANYWHERE. Can you peel the skin off of an animal and they will just run around skinless? You KILL them...FOR PLEASURE. HOW is that respectful?? Are you serious??
momojj Featured By Owner Mar 13, 2007
if you consider canadian seal fur NOT TORTURED , i suggest you to check the meaning of "torture". you think you are respectful of animals just because you wear fur come from "legal" hunt?! there is nothing to respect about killing animals for fur. what makes you think that you have the right to do that, because there are not able to defend themselves? anyway it's sick to "love" wearing fur...
sweetdemons666 Featured By Owner Mar 13, 2007
hey relax...

i understand your point...but i'm a carnivorous...i love to eat meat !
for me it's not worst than wearing you said : it is cruel to kill animals that cannot defends themselves...but we do !
the majority of people eat meat every day !

but some of those people told me...your cruel you're wearing fur !
they are cruel too...but they are blind !!!not me ! i know what i wear, i know what i eat !

the milk or eggs industry are not all cute and sweet...
but most of us eat those products each morning...

i'm glad that people like you cares about animals and their condition, you help people that didn't knows what it is for real...i you make things change ! congratulation !!!i respect that !

but don't judge me just because i wear fur...
i assume it totaly and i wear and work fur proudly !
and i will never stop eating meat !!!
but i care about human workers and i try to make a part in the equitable mouvement by using the products that garanty the quality of their situation...for me a human is more important than a animal...

so try to respect me or if you really can't...
just try to ignore me...but i'm a human....and i love human !

a proud carnivorous...
Émilie B.
BlueBluebutterfly05 Featured By Owner May 18, 2007
Sorry for the correction, but you are an omnivore not a carnivore (I hope!). Carnivores eat ONLY flesh.

You ask me not to judge you for wearing fur, but I have a right to be upset when you harm and kill others. Can you imagine a rapist, child molestor, high school bully, thief saying "don't judge me!"
I can respect you as a sentient being, but I can NOT respect your actions to harm innocent beings.

Speciesism is wrong. Vegan for life!

well, you always keep saying that thing about being proud of but it's hard to understand proud of what, killing animals or not being blind or being insensitive against the cruelty?! i appreciate that you care about the environment but you're missing a point that the human is not the only owner of that environment, ofcourse we should protect it and that shouldn't be an exception that we would be proud of, cause "we" are doing destroying activities. so you continue to be proud of eating meat, but even if there is a little bit possibility, that you would change your mind and go with imitated fur one day, here is a link [link] to donate the real furs to make imitated mother for the orphaned baby animals.
sweetdemons666 Featured By Owner Mar 14, 2007
ok, again i understand your point !
and i didn't excuse human destrustion on planet ! i just said that helping people is my priority ! i'm against all stuff made in china because they abuse of workers :men, woman and even child !
i wil never wear big marks like Nike or Tommy Hillfiger or whaterver because they are the symbole of these exploitation.
I didn't go at Mcdonald or BurgerKing or else...

And I'm proud of wearing fur because I try to wear only natural materials...and that's realy hard in this industrial world !
I'm against new stuff made in plastic ! i try to use only stuff made by recycle plastic or other recycle materials !
Fur and leather are 2 natural material gave by nature...
in the 80's when they banish fur and leather they create new materials made with petrol (polyester, acetat, etc.) the smoke that make those industry and the garbage of it kills and destroy our precious nature and animals !
even more then me !

So my point is...everyone had a cause...
you had yours :cruelty against animals !
I had mine : found new way of dressing without killing nature !

For making a better world, we need people like you...and me !
and a lot of other one !

defend your cause by inform people, try to convince them !
did not accuse or blame...or judge !
you will never convince me that way...

so...keep your flame,
and "sans rancune" (like we said in french !)

a little demons...

*ahem* organic cotton, hemp, soy, etc...these are NOT soaked in thinks like formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals like dead animal skins are. (These chemicals make their way into the water supply hurting humans and non-humans like!)

have you finish now !

i assum the fact that i encourage the fur industry...ok...
killing an animal is killing an animal, i can't pretent that is not bad !
the only thing i said is that for me...eating animals or wear them is absolutly the same !
fur is not worst then meat industry ! ...for me !
if you are vegetarian i understand that you find it disgusting...
i came from a place where trapping is normal...not a crime !

so, think what you want but please stop write insult to me...
you lose your time and mine !

''sans rancune'',
Émilie B.

I'm not trying to insult you. Even if I did, at least I'm not torturing and killing you. As long as you are physically huring and killing others, I have ever right to speak up. You think my words hurt as much as what animals go through? Please..
AudreyFortinRioux Featured By Owner Mar 16, 2007

sweetdemons666 Featured By Owner Mar 17, 2007

AudreyFortinRioux Featured By Owner Mar 16, 2007
AudreyFortinRioux Featured By Owner Feb 15, 2007
Thanks for sharing your opinion with me, but I wont change my mind. I read a lot about fur, and even here in Canada, animals have to suffer in traps ( I lost 2 cats who died in fur trap). I'm vegetarian, I dont buy products tested on animals and fur of course, because I really feel compasion for animals. I was born like that. But thanks for being respectful, it's not easy sometime when people have a different opinion :) Peace audrey F.R

everyone one have an opinion...and i respect that !
and i love fur...i'm born like that too...hahaha!!!
i recycle, i didn't have a car...i try to respect our planet and i try to use only natural fabrics and material, like fur of course...i want to limit pollution!
in my future buissness i will sew my clothes here, not in china...

thats my little contribution to our planet...
thanks for trying understand my point..
